Reduced payments

It would depend on your usage I suspect and if you are in debt. If money is tight try and cut down where possible and or monitor your usage and give regularly meter readings.
Also check to see using a comparison web site if you are on a low tariff ie normally a internet based one tend to be cheaper than standard tariff0 -
You can ask your supplier, but assuming you are paying enough to cover your usage and are not already in debt to them by more than you normally would be at this time of year, they may decline - or you may get into debt if they agree.
Better to look at ways to reduce your usage and then see what savings you can make and negotiate a lower payment. Bit of a longer term approach than you need, but if it does look like you can reduce, then maybe you can approach your supplier with that intention and see what they can do. They can only say no!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Reducing your DD would depend on how much credit you have.
Lots of good advice has been given. All you can do is be more careful with the heating and other things.
Read the meters often. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
Are you already on the cheapest tariff? That should be your first step. if reducing your DD will simply result in debt building up, it's not the best solution. No free lunch, and no free laptop
