Unsure which card is best

in Credit cards
Hi, I'm confused by the sheer volume of credit cards available and so am looking for some help narrow it down. At the moment I use a standard bank credit card which has no perks and I'm looking to get something that will either get me good points or else cashback.
I normally spend about 500/month on fuel and various other bits and pieces. This card will probably not be used for groceries as my wife uses her card for that stuff.
I don't always get fuel in the same place so a BP-only type card probably isn't ideal either. Fuel, amazon, clothes is probably the main usage.
I will be able to set up a DD to clear the full balance each month so just looking to get the most benefit that I possibly can do.
Thanks.

£500 a month spend on the card; Paying off in full.
The Aqua Reward Card seems best for you. 3% Flat Cashback on all purchases upto max of £100 in the year and they are not fussy about credit ratings.
If you spend £500 a month then you would be due £180, but get £100.
If your credit rating is nice and clean, then the Santander 123 credit card may work out slightly better depending on how you split your spending.0 -
Hey,
I'm in a similar situation to you and recently got myself an American Express Platinum Cashback card.
It's a good deal and you can also get offers such as £20 cashback etc in various restaurants, £15 at Shell garages and so on.
I'm not allowed to post links yet but a simple Google will bring it up.
Hope that helps.0 -
Thanks, aqua probably seems the best. Its a better rate than the Amex Platinum and no annual fee it seems.
Anything else come close to the aqua? Thanks0 -
Bear in mind if you opt for Aqua then you'll likely start with a £250 limit0

Is there any way to get that limit raised?0

Ok thanks. What would be the next best option with a higher limit?0

You never know, you might get a higher limit to begin with, it's not unheard of.
Aside from that, Santander 123 might be a good one for your needs, but bear in mind it charges an annual fee...

Santander isn't great with the annual fee to be honest. Will have a look at the other options that are best for general spending.0
