    Hi,

How about using some cheap wooded pegs to hold the sheet onto the frame. I've done this several times.

You can buy special plastic green house fixings (Super Alliplugs) for use with bubble wrap or in summer I use horticultural fleece for shading.

    http://www.harrodhorticultural.com/HarrodSite/pages/search/search.asp?txtSearch=bubble+wrap&submitflag=true&ctgry=Harrod&serial=07052139697971448

This web site will show you what I'm talking about but you can get them in some garden centres or DIY stores. For sheeting to use these plugs you may need to make small holes in the fabric as its thicker than bubble wrap or fleece.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

    Hi,

I just remembered there's a product on the market I think is called Cool Glass You paint onto the glass and it turns a milky white and stops the suns glare. I used it once and it was sucessful and cheap! :D

The only down side is you have to manually wash it off at the end of the summer to get maximum light through the winter months.

Are you any good with a sewing machine ?
if so how about running a hem along one edge and if you get some of that net curtain wire that has a bit of stetch in it you attatch one of those hooks at either end and hook it onto your frame...

You might find sheeting a bit on the heavy side & cut out too much light. may I recommend some white garden fleece from the GC. Its tissue thin and can be clothes pegged to the frame. I would be concerned that a sheet might pick up moisture and get heavier and collapse onto your plants. Broad sheet [Daily Telegraph size] Newspaper works very well too. Stick that on with some cellotape.

For several years I have used a cheap bamboo blind that I retrieved from a skip. It is 6' wide (same length as my greenhouse). I just chuck it over the roof and use the cords to secure it. It works very well as it still lets quite a lot of light through . It can be rolled up and down to shade one side of the greenhouse or both. It is getting a bit tatty now but it has been so sucessful I would be willing to pay £5.99 for a new one from argos if I can't get another free one.

cool glass is very easy to apply and will come off by giving it a bit of a scrub
