Littlewoods/Index PPI Claim Problems

Thanks for all the comments but instead of everyone telling me where I have gone wrong how about helping me to put things right, or at least where I go from here?!?
We dont know what your complaint is. We would need to know what you are complaining about to help.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
This is irrelevant. If your PPI was mis-sold, the complaint procedure is exactly the same. The PPI was sold by Littlewoods Index Catalogue not a bank.
As the complainant it was you who had to provide evidence. In law, "He who asserts must prove".how can they say this in their final letter if they cannot provide any proof of this i.e. any of the supporting documentation. Surely they are just providing a standard reply without any evidence?
They can only know this from information provided by you. They also said although I had limited means to cover any payments if I were ill they feel it was adequate and as such would not uphold, again how do they know with no evidence?0 -
As I said further back the thread; Thanks for all the comments but instead of everyone telling me where I have gone wrong how about helping me to put things right,Moneyineptitude wrote: »All you have to do is send the Ombudsman the complaint you originally sent to the lender explaining why you feel that their decision not to uphold your complaint is not correct. You don't need SAR information or scans of any documents. It's not for you to review the PPI mis-selling investigation, that's the Ombudsman's role.
If, as you imply, you had/have a pre-existing medical condition which voided the insurance then this is a strong complaint reason which Littlewoods should have already upheld.0 -
Thanks -taff0

If you complain to FOS about the contents of your post complaint SAR, you will fail. Thanks -taff
Concentrate on the complaint you originally made and, if it is both valid and verifiable, FOS will overturn your lender's decision.
Do realise that your referral will be with FOS for many months.0 -
I only repeated what moneyineptitude had already posted

Hi hope you can help as I am new to all this. I have had a index extra catalogue some years ago. Who do I write to to claim the PPI back as index no longer exists and what form would I use? Xx0
