You can use polystyrene cake dummies to separate the layers. You can buy these on the internet or ive seen them in m and s.

Ive used upside down plant pots before.

One tip I got from a cake decorator is to but asda smartprice cup cakes and decorate them yourself. they are only about 48p for twelve. so much cheaper and less hassle and they are all level then.

Even if they are expensive for a one off, it shows how you could recreate.

There is a flatpack cardboard version at £5.99 to hold 36 - 40 cupcakes which could be decorated up with ribbons and bows.


Also do some cute little boxes to pack them in - for a wedding they'd be fab.
