I'd eat the cakes before they got on the stand!!!!!
If you can't manage to find an ebay one how about getting a very large silver board for the bottom layer, then use proper cake pillars for the next tier with a medium board, and then cake pillars for the top tier. And superglue everything in place. You could have a dummy run to see if this works first with just normal board?0 -

I had a similar problem a couple of months ago, the cake boards I bought were 1.25 I think, the idea was to use wine/champange glasses glued between the boards to create the tiers, wasn't a brilliant success
I think this one from Homebase is gorgeous, obviously it wouldn't hold 100, but it's only £6.99! I spent as much on cake boards!
Unfortunately I found this one too late.
this one is gorgeous may have to get it for daughters bday not till december but who cares i love it:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0 -

No tips for the cake stand but use tea lights with clear cases and not those horrid metal ones. Also then you'll see the colour of the tealight wax. PM me if you want to know where I get my candles from.Murphy's No More Pies Club Member No. 680 -
Could you buy some glass plates, various sizes, then glue a base to it using silicone adhesive. You could use a glass dish or a small but firm stemmed glass.

My daughter last year for her birthday didn't want a birthday cake as she doesn't really like them, instead she wanted lots of small fairy cakes.
So to make the stand I used lego bricks and covered in gold shiny wrapping paper.
Daughter was very pleased, used it again for my mothers birthday who was 77 and she couldn't believe it was made from lego.0 -
Have a look in ebay, I have had one from there.0
