Bank mistake paid credit card twice

Hi,
I recently paid £490 off my Halifax Credit Card from my FirstDirect bank account. Upon checking my Halifax credit card once the money had gone through I noticed that 2 payments had come off my credit card for £490. So i logged onto my FirstDirect account and only one payment has come out of my account, so it seems like a bank error. I'm not sure whose - presumably FirstDirect.
Seeing as though this mistake has little to do with me, and the mistake has occurred between two different banks - will this get corrected if and when whoever has made the mistake notice it?

Looks like Halifax have erroneously credited the payment twice. They'll pick it up at some point and adjust your account accordingly.0

I forgot to add that the two payments for the same amount came in on 2 seperate days - not sure if this has any bearing on it.0

Doesn't make any difference to the fact that one of the payments seems to have been credited in error.
It will sort itself out, just keep an eye on your statements for the reversal.0 -
Yeah, i figured they would.0
