    Morning All,

    BRR it's cold out there!:snow_laug
Julie I am using Michael Moseley's book. I got it from AMAZon, Here's the link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fast-Diet-Intermittent-Fasting-Healthy/dp/1780721676/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1359022387&sr=1-1
Dinner is cassoulet. Going to do some baking today, not sure what yet!

OH popped round yesterday, he's away in Dorset today. Haven't seen him for a fortnight, so that was nice even if it was only for 10 minutes!

Cat is behind me on the windowsill, SNORING! Ha!

    Stay warm everyone.

    Morning all,
DSiL enjoyed her stay with us, lots of chatting and laughing and not too many tears. We are off to Torquay tomorrow for her DH's funeral, I managed to book a room at Prem Inn in Torbay near where the wake will take place, so must get packing an overnight case and sort out clothes for the service.
We'll have been to Four Funerals and a Wedding in the past year. Wish it was the other way round.

I stripped the bedding after DSiL left and managed to drape and dry it. Loads of ironing to do and collect meds from the chemist before I collect DGD3 from play school at 3pm.

Dinner tonight will be Hoi Sin duck, noodles, chicken satay, rice and prawn crackers. DD2 bought lots of duck legs at 69p for 2 so she's given us some, the chick was ys too.

    Hope you're all keeping warm.

    Hi all

Oh dear, I get later coming on here, don't I?:D

I've got pizza dough rumbling away in the BM as I type, and I've prepared the dry ingredients for a loaf, for when that's finished – mixed the flours together with the seasonings etc; I use half white and half wholemeal flour – we get the nice taste of wholemeal, but it's a bit lighter than wholemeal flour alone.;)

Lizziebabe I hope your poor head is better today – that could've been very nasty, I should get that boot lid fixed pronto if I were you.

Topsyturphy I hope your DH is ok; doubtless, the dog thought something was badly amiss, and reacted without thinking. I remember little Cameron, one of my guests (now sadly has made his trip over the Rainbow Bridge) – he only had one eye, and I always used to be careful to approach from his “sighted” side, and speak to him as I approached.

Hester I've never experienced a camel's armpit, but I have a vivid image of how you felt.:rotfl:

Jools it's good that you've had a cheque from the insurance people – I guess the best thing is to just keep your solicitor up to speed with whatever happens, and take it from there. Maybe he was looking at a “worst case scenario” when he said your children would have to apply to be executors.

Hilstep I'm glad the 5:2 diet is suiting you; I had a look at the link, and at some of the other books on @mazon, but none seem to cater for a vegetarian in their meal ideas. Also, I never want to eat in the first place, so I don't for the life of me understand why this final half-stone won't shift. I haven't eaten at all yet today, and I'm still not hungry. Go figure! *shruggy smilie*
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

hi again, there was nofootie match so nipped to farm foods and home bargains and spent £30 on frozen meat and marinates etc for the month,

£20 got me big bag of frozen chicken portions
bag of cubed beef (thats in slow cooker with onions and pot to make balti for tom tea and freeze some
    big batch of bacon
    4 pork steaks
    bag of pots
    and bag of fish

so will batch cook on next day off and freeze in the individual dishes i picked up in poundland the other day as hm ready meals in freezer for times im nights or lates, so the ever hungry children have decent food there.

btw the pork in tinned toms with onions with rice was devoured and so easy in the slow cooker so will def do again!

home bargains had sauces 4 for £1 not massive bags but ideal for slow cooker to give flavour!

Well im off to a night shift so cant see me coming on here much for rest off week!!!

So quiet on here today !
I've just taken DGD home and DD had to prise her off me.
Charlotte "Nanny I love you so much, please don't let me leave you"
Nearly cried. She has such a way of words. She's 3yrs old going on 7. Well, she is in the 8yr old group in swimming and reading aged 6-8yr old ability Biff & Chip books. Boasting moment over.
Sorted out our clothes for the funeral tomorrow, as expected DH wants to wear a particular white shirt, thought he would, so I had it ironed and hung up yesterday.
The crematorium is the same one we used for my DB 2 yrs ago and the wake is being held at the same place my DsIL held her wedding reception on the 10th Dec. I did say in a post last week that she got married on Dec 1 but typo it was 10th.
The roads are clear here and hopefully they will be for our drive to Torquay tomorrow, the funeral is not until 4.30 but will leave in plenty of time.
    KARREN, Thank you.
  • Evening all

No snow left here when I woke up, but apparently there was lots further up the county so 4 of my work kids couldn't get in as buses weren't running :( I thought today was going to be a complete wash out but it turned out to be a brilliant day! We had to go pick up one boy as he just missed his bus, and on going up to him the scenery was stunning :) there was so much snow on the ground, and the tree covered roads were beautiful as they all had snow on them. We went back to base and they did some work, and after lunch we decided to go to the local country park. It too was completely snow covered (4inches, and this is next to the sea!) :j. We built a giant snowman :D, then played rounders in the snow which was hilarious, then went to the playground, which is like a castle and had a huge snowball fight!! Best day ever!!!!

After work I did the food shop, took 2 hours! But I did go to 4 different shops :rotfl:. Bought a Asda takeaway pizza for tea as I was knackered, and that cooked whilst I put the food away.

OS wise - packed lunch made, food shop done inc YS bread purchased

    Have a good evening all

    Evening
Another busy day and a NSD again, am managing to avoid shops, will have to do food shop tomorrow now though, am planning to fit it in between work and dental check up, so cant hang around putting unecessary things in trolley. DD called she has sorted her accommodation for next (academic) year. She is going to share a house with few girls she is currently in halls with. Very proud of her doing it all and know she is happy its one less thing to worry about come the summer. My little girl is really growing up
Work was manic Y10s seem to have all decided to play up today, not sure what they were told in assembly this morning??
OS DW on again today, intense wash with pots and pans in the bottom and crocs in the top, they say DW more economical that washing up (and good enough reason for me). DS didnt have college today so spend day in pjs, so not even enough for full load of washing. Dinner was sausages, HM oven chips and beans.
    Thoughts to all.
