I argued this and got the same response you got. Some people live in la-la land and have no idea what it's like to try and live on a lower income.

Work harder at school instead of dossing behind the bike shed. You get paid more in the long run.

Fresh fruit and veg is vat free, turkey twisters aren't. Get cooking, it's cheaper.

The thing you fail to understand is that there are a large number of jobs than will only ever pay low wages if everybody does as you say all that will happen is that people doing those jobs will be better educated. The good thing about it would be that some of them could well end up better educated than you and push you down the job scale.

Good luck to them. Watching Jeremy Kyle this morning I don't think I am going to be worrying any time soon about that.

Those service sector jobs could easily done by boomers looking to fill their pensionable time from 65. They are expecting my generation to work for at least a decade longer to pay their way, so I think it's the least they could do to help.

But whose to know what they would achieve if they were somehow made to study lack of education and motivation is not the same as lack of intelligence.

Haven't you been to B&Q lately lots of boomers working there.

Lack of motivation is a genetic defect. Throwing socialist funding and dragging the rest of the country down won't change that.

It could easily be learnt behaviour I wonder how you would have done if you were born in a run down estate with peers and parents that didn't give a monkeys.

Left = lazy sense of self entitlement, don't bother working, get it all paid for you by the strivers with no shame. Ie the cast of Jeremy Kyle.

Right = work hard, get on in life no matter what life throws at you. Don't blame your ills on the world.

It makes sense though, how we end up with the haves and the have nots. Socialists wouldn't like it much if it were true, as it would make welfare pointless. You couldn't lift someone out of supposed poverty if its in their genetic makeup to be a lazy beggar.
