I'm 41 in a few days, but always into computers, from school; but they just seem over complicated these days.
I was summoned to my parents house, as they received a new router/modem from Cable, but didn't understand.
So assumed not to plug it into their wired compy initially (they are elderly), eventually sorted that out, but they also have a Kindle, a Laptop, and a Tablet.
So I get the call...Tablet...the instruction manual is like 2" tall, presumably there is some kind of online tutorial, that I could not find?
So, I setup the password on the router to enable this, but no clear way to access any way of setting up the tablet, and what do they do anyway? It seemed to time out on any internet access, and provided plenty of access to downloadable apps, I cannot see the point of the device, can't use it for games, typing, it seems like a device for nothing.
Getting the Kindle to work was a nightmare, it says enter password, with a non keyboard, and tiny keys for my fingers...so after many attempts, and the use of auto config, for like 3 hours, it suddenly decided it would connect, regardless of what my settings were...one of which was the Kindle decided WPA3, when the computer wanted WPA.
Is it me that finds this difficult? Or why would the manufactures make it so hard to connect devices?
What am I doing wrong? And why does the key have to be so long on a keyboard entry system, with such small keys, ask you to re-enter your password so often?
I know your bored, but my parents also bought a TV, and the channel numbers were scrambled, but worked initially. It turned out that my Mum went crazy in the settings, and somehow selected a foreign county, so all frequencies were off, and the DVD and VCR settings didn't work...many were in B/W, ghosted, etc..
So is it true that technology is too much, overload....? People staring at their phone, when in reality, not knowing much, and abusing the general public.

With technology comes complexity, sometimes necessitated by security. Yes, all WIFI could be open access and everything could connect in seconds, but it just wouldn't be "secure" oh noes!
The TV is just silly, I can imagine someone angrily stabbing wildly at the remote with no regard for what it's showing in the screen and all manner of crap happening. I blame the user for that though
I love your last sentence0
