Repositioning of Kitchen Boiler - feasible?

Afternoon all
We're in the process of making plans for our new house and are looking to open up the kitchen, utility room and dining room into one big kitchen diner.
Only problem is that the utility is inbetween the kitchen and dining room and it contains the boiler. Typical modern boiler mounted at eye-level.
Question is this. Is it feasible to reposition the boiler (about 6 feet) and then is it ok to put the boiler itself within a large kitchen unit cupboard - think something similar to the unit you'd use for an integrated fridge freezer.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes on both counts, but it wouldn'e be cheap to do as you'd need a corgi registered engineer to move it. But if you're gonna do a big job it's worth gettting everything just as you want it.0

I once had a gas wall boiler moved from one side of a wall to the other. Cost several £100's. If the boiler is old don't be suprised if the Corgi man gives you lots of safety reasons why you need a new boiler!0

I had two friends do this and in each case it cost as much to get a new boiler fitted so that is what they both ended up doing.0

Hi,
We had a very old floor-standing boiler in our old kitchen. When I got the plumber round to advise regarding replacement and hanging it on the kitchen wall, he suggested we put it in the loft. Which is what we did.0
