    It may be for some, but not for others. Try a comparison site such as energyhelpline to compare providers.

    The best suggestion I can make is you need to decide how you want to manage it and then, when you have decided, can you realistically manage it the way you have chosen.

    Either you manage it yourself by monitoring your direct debits and submitting your readings as and when required or your leave it to the supplier to read your meter and provide you with a paper copy of your bill.

    When you have decided, go to a comparison site and put in your yearly consumption of gas and electricity. (there are other inputs you can use; monthly cost currently, monthly usage etc. etc.)

    If you can commit to“Dual Fuel” i.e. from the same provider, provide required meter readings, cope with direct debits and do this on line then you can get significant savings.

    Use the comparison sites mentioned on this site
    Energyhelpline* | Energylinx* | EnergyShop* | Simplyswitch* | UK Power* | uSwitch*

    (use the links provided as some of them help keep the site going, the links are at the beginning of the page on utilities.

    Only then is it possible to say;
