payday loans, unauthorised broker payment

I had been trawling the internet for a payday loan, and after seveal attempts and inputing my card details etc, i followed a link saying "click here to get your money". I was unknowlingly directed to a broker company called loan options.net and informed i woul dbe getting a membership card in the post for discounts. i came off the site and off computer. About a week later i had a text msg saying my membership had been paid to loan options and was horrified to find this company had taken £70 out of my bank, there was also another £70 un accounted for, which two days later showed up as another broker firm. I had not signed up for any of these or gave consent for them to raid my account. When i finally got throught o them on a premium number they fobbed me off then didnt answer , or reply to emails or letters. I was left to use cash convertors to pawn items for food gas and vets bills and was so angry this had happended, and scared it would happen again as all my details are online. I phoned my bank who issued a visa debit investiation and within two days they refunded my account, and deleted my card details from being used online again. it was a brokers portal using my sign up info without authorisation. so glad it is sorted:rotfl:. please be careful.

Well read what you sign up for or don't enter your card details into a loan broker site, look after your money.0

Can I repeat for all posters - IF YOU INPUT YOUR DEBIT CARD NUMBER INTO ANY PAYDAY LOAN WEBSITE OR APPLICATION EXPECT TO BE CHARGED!!
How anybody can claim payment is unauthorised is beyond me.0 -
It says in the terms on their website:Loan Options Membership Fee
We provide a variety of services by phone, internet, mail and other means through a 30 day membership programme. In return for these services, You agree to pay a one-off fee of £64.76 (£34.76 registration fee + £1 per day)
When is the Fee Debited?
The full amount of £64.76 will be debited within 50 days; this will not restrict you from gaining full access to our services immediately.

Before searching for loans, write out a full A4 page of text. It can be anything you like, copied from a book if need be.
When the A4 page is complete, stand back and take a look.
If there are no paragraphs at all, do not go searching for loans, you will end up paying Broker Fees....FACT.0 -

I would expand on this and say if there are no paragraphs take your computer back to where you bought it from. As sooner or later you are going to accuse some company of scamming you when in reality you failed to read the T&C and voluntarily gave them authority to debit money from your account.0 -
So if I walk up to a stranger in the street, give them a handful of cash on the promise that they might be able to help me, would that be a bad idea?

I believe that in that situation the proper procedure is to tuck the wad of cash in their g-string after they have "helped you".0 -

Cool, I would hate to show myself up by doing it wrong.
