The world produces enough food for everyone, but not everyone has enough food.

The effects of hunger have a far more hidden cost because when children don’t get nutritious food as babies, it can prevent them growing and developing healthily. They can grow up being stunted. These children’s bodies and minds never mature properly, severely limiting their ability to learn and then earn a living when they grow up.

But it doesn’t have to be like this.
In 2013, World Vision has joined with over 100 charities, to launch the IF campaign and take action towards ending global hunger.

I can't see what a post like that has got to do with the Op asking for support to help the poor.
Perhaps you could go away and find links to prove your figures.
Part of the campaign is to stop the tax evasion.

I'm guessing here, but I'd think the #WVUK hashtag is World Vision, and I'm also guessing that people more in tune with caring for people 'here' rather than 'there' might support the ending of the tax manipulation strategies adopted by some large companies.

Up to 28% of all children in developing countries are estimated to be underweight or stunted.

It’s unfair, it’s unjust, and the truth is, it’s completely preventable. IF enough people join us, we can be the generation to end hunger.

(I'm not a statistician, just a humanitarian who weeps at these statistics as each figure quoted represents real children)
