Help! Party Ideas for 8 y/o daughter

My daughters party is on Friday night and she has 15 friends invited - we were meant to be going to Pizza Hut (she decided at last min that she wanted one and it was the only free place). She got a mixture of boys and girls coming.
The problem is that heavy snow is forecast for Friday pm so I think I may have at home instead just to be on safe side but what on earth do I do with them all? If it was girls alone I could do nails etc but for both I am struggling as I think she's passed the pass the parcel age.
Any ideas welcome!

We had a couple of successful parties with just pizza designing and baking in groups, computer games, guess who I am, musical chairs and a film. Also if you have help a spy party with 2 or 3 groups of spies that are solving a mystery or a science party could work with mixing different flavours of squash and mixing jelly beans to invent flavours. What kind of games would you like to do? Do you like setting up lots or do you like to keep it simple? Happy to help you out if you tell me a bit more.I never realized how much personal info is out there that can be used and abused to suit every purpose.0

Bit of Karaoke, dancing? Ps3/x-box or wii? Prize for best?
Add in some games possibly!I'm not a "SINGLE" mum, I'm a "DOUBLE" mum!:D0 -
I'm useless with games (I'm too competitive lol) - something quite basic I think as I'm going to be at work all day Friday and I won't get home until 5.30 and everyone will be arriving at 6

Like the idea of pizza designing though and also guess who I am.
Could poss borrow her brothers X-box for the boys - maybe a couple of laps on a racing game, fastest gets a prize - obviously see if the girls want to do it and if they don't maybe I could do their nails or something.0 -
Tesco has good packages of pizza flour, just add water and most Tescos have pizza bases. Chopping up veg, dishes with meat, grated cheese, a jar with pastasauce and of course some pineapple. Have some newly bought dvds ready for the moments at the end that you are waiting for people to be picked up.
How long will they be there?I never realized how much personal info is out there that can be used and abused to suit every purpose.0 -
Buy some cheap toilet roll and pair them up to create the best mummy?Sadly, you don't have any badges yet but keep trying! See what you could get........... oh boo hoo I am crying into my wine.

We are looking at around 2 hours - will call into supermarket tom for pizza stuff - will get them to to pizza in groups rather than all at once.
Why oh why did I say I would do this? lol0 -
I def agree re pizza, can't go wrong with that, I would get the bases ready and the sauce and have them do the pizza in groups, thinking cooking them you may need to domestic godess in terms of swopping around the oven, guessing everyone will want to eat at same time.
Without sounding daft pass the parcel still go down well at 8, - if you can pop in something each layer xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Two hours will fly past. Get them to eat in groups, that way you can keep an eye on it and it will still fit in the oven. Just make sure you have extra trays so the first group can have one pizza in the oven and another one ready on a tray after the third group has been. Group two can play a computer game in the mean time and eat a snack. Cola floats are also a favourite at our parties. Cheap cola and good vanilla icecream is all you need. Oh forgot about the straws...I never realized how much personal info is out there that can be used and abused to suit every purpose.0

2 hours will go really quickly especially if they're making their own pizzas. I'd put on some music (Now 82 or similar) loudly, have fairy lights and turn it into a disco party. Have some nibbles for when they first arrive and let them get on with it!
I'd buy pre made bases though as trying to coordinate 15 kids to make pizza dough could get complicated. Pre-cut all the toppings whilst they're doing presents and dancing/eating nibbles and then call them in to decorate. Depending on how big your kitchen is, you could always move things and put a blanket/rug down for them to do their pizzas on the floor - thinking more room than around a dining table.
Oh and drinks - cartons of juice (less mess!) with cocktail disposable straws.
If it's any consolation it's my DD 8th birthday today and I'm gearing up for a sleepover and bowling with 6 girls!!!"I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0
