Better off working?

I ask this on behalf of someone who i know.
She is a lone parent in private rented accommodation with a 5 year old child, and works 6.25 hours per week at £6.25/hr.
She has been offered a 2nd job working 12.5 hours per week at £6.24/hr.
For this 2nd job she will have to pay child care fees of £42.50 per week.
The question is, will she be better off working than on benefits.

We can give you the information you need on:

It was clear and really helpful and I could ask as many questions as I wanted.I never realized how much personal info is out there that can be used and abused to suit every purpose.0 -
Yes she should be better off as she'd get WTC plus the childcare element. Check the turn2us calculator https://www.turn2us.entitledto.co.uk/entitlementcalculator.aspx0
