You can get podcasts to download to your Ipod through Itunes. Just open up itunes and go to the store.
then on the left is the podcast section which you can go into an download and subscribe to. most which are free.0 -
You can download Podcasts from many websites as well as using iTunes. The vast majority are free. Have a look for Podcast feeds on websites of radio stations you like, or the Podcast list on iTunes.
Listening to someone rant about immigrants while sunbathing isn't my idea of fun but I'm sure you can find the TalkSport Podcast feed on their website0 -
Thanks for your responses & yes not my idea of fun either!! The problem will be since she will want to download whilst abroad she will have to use an internet cafe and as her itunes library is on her home pc I dont think it will be accessible in an internet cafe - any ideas would be appreciated. Podcasts are usually just mp3 files that can be downloaded automatically.
Podcast providers often give you a way to download the file manually.
For example, with the BBC Podcasts, you can right-click the 'download' link and "save target as" to get the mp3.
Podshow lists a lot of podcasts including download links for them even when original publisher hasn't (though I find Podshow's webpage terrible to find things with).
If you really want software to automatically download podcasts, but can't use Itunes, you could try mypodder. The idea is that you put their program directly on an mp3 player, or the disk section of an Ipod, and run if from there.
Then you can run it on any computer from the mp3 player and it will automatically grab your podcasts for you.
That's the theory though I wouldn't say it works 100% yet.0 -
Not really much use for OP but just discovered that Outlook 2007 can grab podcasts from RSS feeds, mucho useful to get my daily dose of Moyles & Mills on way to work0
