Pre-payment meters Switching supplier help

How do you go about switching suppliers if you have pre-payment meters?
When I have tried the switching/comparison sites, they don't seem to include them as an option.
The current supplier is SSE and when I spoke to BG they said if I swapped my electric to them (BG), I would save £150 a year, and leave my gas with SSE, but nothing shows up on any comparison sites, and more to the point, SSE seems to be more expensive and so does BG in the normal run of the mill supply.
I am very wary of switching over the phone as they seem to be able to say anything, I like to see it in black and white (on screen at least
) - any advice welcomed.
