Thank you, my thoughts entirely and I have looked at the paperwork and this is what it says The replacement may occasionally be a fully refurbished product'or we may
offer you vouchers to purchase a new product of at least the equivalent specification."

The only part that worries me is the "or we may" not that they will.

It's a case of they will offer you a refurbished product OR vouchers to the equivalent specification.

My advice still stands, go into a store (a different store if needed), ask them to check what the voucher is for and then purchase a replacement TV, if you cannot get a equivalent specification for the voucher amount the store will override, if they refuse point them to the paperwork you have (if you don't have the paperwork, tell them to check the T&C under nHance) If they still refuse to budge tell them to phone the Medics to resolve it.

But you shouldn't need to do any of that.

Just go in and buy a tv for £749 and see if it works, if not kick up a fuss. It may be that £1500 was the value of the TV when they last had it and they are giving you 50%of that.
It's very strange they would give you a code for £749 if it's only half of that, why not in that case just give you one for £375, doesn't make sense.

Go into a store, they can check the value of the voucher and if required overwrite the value so you will at least get the same specification.

Not correct (for once!). Multicare agreements are not spec-for-spec, they work on depreciated value.

That said, if you have a voucher code for £749, that should come up when the store brings up the voucher
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

Learn something new every day, so what was the paperwork the OP have referencing to then, surely the paperwork should tell this.

To be fair, Multicare agreements are fairly rare to see in stores so I can understand the confusion.

    Having said that, I'm not sure how they'd issue a "50% off" voucher - I'd guess it'd be a £380 voucher instead.
Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.
  • I think the employee has misinformed you. If your sister has a letter that says "Voucher Code: xxxxx" Value "£749" Take that into a store and just buy the TV you want and present them with that piece of paper.

No need to kick up a fuss or mention anything about 50% of a voucher.
