2 insurance policies on one car?

Including Stolen / TWOC
I have re-read it and think you're right.
I think I may have misunderstood it because it's full of nested conditions and double negatives.
Section 151 2) b) says that "excluded liabilities" are excluded (duh), and in 151 4) defines those as liabilities to anyone who is being carried in or on the vehicle and know / had reason to believe the car was stolen / TWOC'd (Normally a passenger could claim off the driver's insurance if the driver is at fault).
So if a car is stolen and then crashes:
-The driver can't claim on the insurance (they are not a third party, you can't claim off yourself)
-A passenger who knew it was stolen / TWOC'd can't claim on the insurance, due to S151 4)
-Anyone else CAN claim on the insurance even though the driver wasn't insured.
This is why you should always cancel a policy when you sell or scrap a vehicle. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

...well it's cancelled for peace of mind

The new owner rolled his Clio the other week so I think it's best I don't run the risk on this one too

It hinges on whether the thief is identified or not0 -
Hope someone can advise. My 24 yo son has sold his car and cancelled his insurance before he goes abroad travelling. My fully comp policy is with Saga but as he is not 25 I cannot add him as an additional driver for a month or so that we need. Can he take out one month insurance on his own on my car or is that not permitted? He has a full clean driving licence bless him!0

You should have started a new thread, but the answer is yes, as long as the new insurer is prepared to accept him. This is exactly the sort of situation that temporary insurance is meant to cover. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
