Mobility Scooter Reviews

Not sure if I'm in the right forum category, but here goes.
Anyone know of any independent reviews of mobility scooters.
You can get online reviews and comparisons of virtually any product you can think of (cars, computers, household appliances, the list is endless), but not of mobility scooters.
My father is looking for a new scooter. The one he has (sorry, I don't know the details) is not comfortable enough for his back and I want to do some research to make sure he purchases the right one for him. He is 17 to 18 stone and 6 foot tall.
I don't want to go to a scooter manufacturer or supplier who will be swayed by the products they sell or have in stock. I want a truly independent opinion and to be informed before I look at any scooters with him.

TBH with something like a mobility scooter, you are better trying it in person. Especially if he finds the one he has uncomfortable on his back. What may be comfy to you or I may not be comfy to him.
Remember me and my sis going and trying to find her a new car, we both have problems, but cars I could get into easily, she struggled with and vice versa.
Good luck in your hunt
4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
But with cars you can research online.
Things like economy, reliability, maintenance costs, customer satisfaction ...etc.
With mobility scooters there's nothing. Just because one might be more comfortable than another doesn't mean it's reliable.0 -
If you're buying new I would imagine they would all be much and much the same and come with standard guarantee though.
Sounds like your father's biggest problem is comfort
But try some on here... how independent they are I have no idea:
