  • Hi Bashful, I know just how your feel. My husband is terrible with money aswell :( I just found out about 26k across 2 overdrafts at new year, let me tell you that was one hell of a conversation

We have been to see a money advisor who is in talks with our creditors to freeze intrest and charges so we can start paying back the debt and not just the charges.

I've taken control of the bank accounts, he now has a basic bank account that CANNOT get an overdraft, his wages have been changed over to my account (single account) so I can transfer just what he needs. We have made a household budget and are going to try and repay everything over the next 4 years. Upon drawing up the budget and having to see a money advisor the penny seems to have dropped with my husband just how much he's messed up. He also knows if he takes on anymore debt or overspends that messes up our budget, that he will be signing the papers and living else where.
