Hi,
A friend of mine currently claims long term incapacity benefit after surgery.Things have got on top of her and she wants to go onto medication.I stand by this decision as I can see a definate change in her.
Anyways,I dont beleive prescriptions are free on IB,so could someone tell me...
a.if there is any financial help she'll get.
b.how much "typical" depression medication is
Even this is getting her down cos she doesnt have much left after bill paying etc,and doesnt think she'll be able to afford medication she needs.
Thanks.

All prescriptions are the same price - £7.65
How many does she have? If she has more than one, a pre-payment certificate may be an option.SPC #1813

Thank you very much.
I think she was expecting it to be more than that to be honest,so that information could be very helpful.
Although I should have said we live in Scotland...did I not once read we use a different system from England and Wales ?0 -

All NHS prescriptions for medicines are free in Scotland, Wales and, I believe, Northern Ireland.0
