Who Manufacturers Howdens Worktops

Does anyone know please if there is anywhere cheaper I can buy a worktop that is in the Howdens range? Thanks

Ask Howdens who makes them. Or see a sample worktop, flip it over and see the manufacturers name. Or what name is on the sample swatches you have been shown?

I would have thought Howdens would tease out an answer for you. But would also think someone else would not be much different on price.

I have just priced up a worktop - going through builders merchants there was minimal difference between the lower quotes, indeed two were exactly the same on edging, worktop, upstands and sink.

This sounds like its going to develop into another spending several hundred pounds of my own time in order to save 50 quid exercises.

In terms of future customersupport I suspect it ain't worth the effort.

Are the Howdens laminate worktops decent quality compared to Axiom etc?

If I remember correctly, Howdens make their own in Hull.

They used to manufacture MFI's worktops and hence probably still make Homebase's Hygena ones.
