Hi, my 9yr old dog Bess, a staff cross is currently having surgery for a suspected obstruction in her stomach. The vet thinks its from a raw hide bone. I am on DLA and Incap benefits and since Sunday i have managed to pay over £500 on vet costs. She was sent to a animal hospital yesterday where the cost of that and surgery is over £1000. Im finding it really hard raising the money to pay for this. I have applied for PDSA but as i didnt know she already had to be registered with them they cant cover this fee, but will be calling them this afternoon to see if they can help.
Does anyone know of anywhere that i may be able to get some help?
Thank you
Hazel and Bess

They probably won't pay it all as they are a small charity but they might be able to help pay some of it?
I hope Bess makes a full recovery. I never give my dogs raw hide chews for the same reason.
