Wireless Thermostat Heaters

Does anyone know if it possible to buy these, what I am looking for is a heater which has its thermostat in the room and not attached to the heater.

I recently bought a Dimplex Cadiz 2KW Oil Filled radiator which has a digital thermostat so you can accurately set the temp of the room.

Well what a waste of money this heater is it starts off at the full 2KW when set on 21 degrees it reaches 19 degrees and drops down to 1KW then at 20 degrees drops down to 500w finally switches off at 21 degrees but the room is only 15 degrees, it then ticks over at 500W which gives out no heat at all to heat a fair sized room.

Do not know about wireless thermostatic heaters.

But to cure your problem turn the thermostat on the heater to a higher setting than 21. Find a setting that heats your room to your required temperature. Of course this will use more electric £s than having it set at 21.

What happens if you turn the thermostat up to say 27 degrees?
Maybe it's just a calibration error?

Just trying an increase on the thermostat now, I have set it to 27 degrees its 8 degrees in the room at the moment, I have shut the door set up the monitor between plug and socket, and will check on it later.

With the heater set to 27 degrees the temp in the room has gone from 8 to 16.5 degrees and the heater is ticking over at about 1kw. The time it has taken is 5hrs and using 7kw of electric so thats 1.4KW per hr.

So it looks like the temp has to be set on 27 and I don't think the room is going to get much hotter, but at least it seems to be kicking out 1KW of heat/hour to make up for the heat lost to the outside and internal walls.

Edit: Its still creeping up 17.5 after another hour and still kicking out 1KW but too hot for me now so turned it down to 24, only change was I closed the curtains in the room.
