Can you pay a credit card bill with a credit card?

Hello
Morgan Stanley have stuffed up on my cash back card meaning I've lost out on about £100 worth of cashback. I had to put the purchases on another card for which I've now had the bill.

Assuming Morgan Stanley manage to send me a new card in time (doubtful!) can I use it to pay the bill and therefore still get cash?

Any ideas? I've phoned Morgan Stanley and they say no, just don't want to give up that easily as they've really let me down here.

Thanks
Nicole

No. This has been part of the Consumer Credit Act since the very early days of credit cards.

I sympathise with your problems with Morgan Stanley: my MSP card finally arrived today, well over a month after my application. They appear to have become a victim of their own success just recently, for fairly obvious reasons. Although the amounts involved are much less than yours, I also had a relatively large purchase, which I would have liked to have been able to pay on, or been able to somehow switch onto, my cashback card.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)
