Hi all
I recently got a cd through from a an online casino which stated that i could have a free £500 to play with with an hour limit and i could keep the winnings if their was any.
good promo it seems. there was nothing on the packaging or the letter with it to suggest this money would go anywhere but to me.
it turns out the "winnings" you "get to keep" actually goes into your casino account as bonus money so you have to wager it loads before its yours.
There was a small mention of this in some of the terms and cons but I think theres a case for saying that they failed to advertise in what form you would get to keeping winnings. Very misleading and unfair.
Im considering putting in a claim against them as I "won" £200 and cant get it. What do people think? Even if I lost its only like £30 through moneyclaim. If they gave in or lost would this open the way for other similar pee'd off people and maybe even make casino's stop tricking people!?

I've just started entering the competitions (July 07). When I win I'll update this signature. Look on the bright side, I shouldn't have to update it very often.

To be honest I think that quote answers your question.
I'm no legal expert but I would assume that an online casino would cover all it's bases with any offers and at least they credit your account with your "winnings" so theoretically you have the chance of making some real cash0 -
Hubby got the same CD. He read it as the winnings from the £500 went into a casino account. To withdraw it, he had to deposit £20 of his own money, then he could withdraw the £20 and his winnings back to his card.
He did that, but now he has discovered he has to play £1000 worth of bets with the £20 plus winnings before he can withdraw.
He was quite cheesed off as this is not made clear in the T&C's and wondered how other people interpreted the deal. Here I go again on my own....0 -
