Ok here goes. try to explain best I can. I know the DM messages are private and if you tweet on their site others can see it, but what about when you do this.

Next to the word following you have the little man and the drop down list and when you click it, it says, tweet to so @ so and so. I have done this and found my message tweet shows up on my tweet wall to them but not on their wall to others not showing there, so does this mean my message would then be private to them and just myself then? I am aware that if you tweet in the white box below then everyone can see it, as I have seen it pop up on their walls with others messages.

But my question is about when you tweet the little man on drop down list, is that also a private tweet or can others see this to?

if I click Home to my page then tweets, it shows my tweets to them, but when I go on persons page my tweet dont show on there. does that mean its a private tweet?

your tweet will indeed show up on your wall, as it should do, but it will also show up on their wall for them and their followers to see, so it is in the public domain.
