@railbuff At the risk of hijacking the OP's thread (this is the last I will pointlessly reply in this thread).
We are not on WHT. I am not BlueHost. I am not offering MY services. I am merely stipulating what BH themselves say on their site.
The reality of that AUP is that if you had enough genuine files on your account, you'd be wanting to do something with them (serve them to someone) therefore you'd be WANTING to move to a dedicated server long before you reached the theoretical limit.
I don't understand why you've taken it upon yourself to argue when we're only trying to genuinely help the OP. Bad day at the office? :rotfl: :T
Edit: I agree with @pompeyred - A web presence (even a single page) would look a million times better than no presence.0 -
I've also used 123-reg with no problems, but the total cost is a bit more than the above.
Email forwarding is 99p a month for personal use and £4.99 for business. You'll also need to register a domain, assuming that you haven't already got one which is currently 7 quid for 2 years for a .co.uk.
The above only gets you an email domain - no website hosting.
Email forwarding is free (i.e. included as part of the domain registration). It's only if you want email hosting that you have to pay... So I simply host my emails using GMX, which is free and transparent (i.e. I receive emails addressed to me@mydomain.co.uk in my GMX account, and when I send emails the recipient sees that same domain and has no idea I use GMX).
And I use a free webhost. There's no way I'd recommend them, though (unless you just want something to play around with and are technically confident). The service I use tends to drop offline occasionally, and any non-working links tend to divert you to pages with adverts linking to drive-by malware (nice). There's also loads of restrictions on file sizes and types... but it supports scripting such as PHP and Javascript, which might be useful if you want to learn about that kind of stuff...0 -
Nothing is Unlimited EVER. if so where did you get your unlimited HDD or Unlimited car fuel tank or Unlimited Milk carton.
Have you ever gone to an "all you can eat" buffet and found that you couldn't eat as much as you wanted...? :rotfl:
How dare they call it "all you can eat" when, theoretically, you might want to eat more food than exists in the whole of Europe?!0 -
