hi do we qualify for a cwp

my wife and i are on IS and my wife gets cares allowance.

we have 2 children 1 is 5 and the other is 12

    Those on income support, income-based jobseeker's allowance or income-related employment and support allowance are usually also eligible as long as they meet certain other criteria, such as having a child under five living with them. To register, contact Jobcentre Plus.

    I think it might depend on why you are on IS and who your wife gets CA for. For example, I get a CWP because I am IS, but the additional qualifier for me is that my child is disabled and in receipt of DLA. He is 14. So if your wife gets CA because one of your children is disabled, you would probably qualify for a CWP. If, on the other had, she gets CA because she cares for an elderly parent, for example, a CWP is unlikely.
