RBS online banking - duplicate logging on

Every time I log on to online banking, I have to go through the whole process ,whereupon I get a message regarding the sell off of branches in England and Wales and then have to go through the whole process again to access my account. Is this happening to everyone, it is really annoying.

This sounds like it could be a scam - don't use your online login, ring RBS immediately to ask.
May be you have to change your login data and run an AV check on your machine. But ask RBS for assistance.0 -
Certainly not happening for me. I've logged in a couple of times today.0

account aggregators use the https://www.rbs.co.uk/englandandwales URL and you get a message if you hold a Scottish account "and then have to go through the whole process again"Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

The ewise (old accountunity) one has a checkbox where the login details are allows you to mark it as "Scottish" RBS thus bypassing this issue. I don't know if they also have that on the branded versions though.0 -
I am the opposite in that I do have an England and Wales account. I log in via the main site. I enter my passwords etc and get a message telling me about the sale of branches. It tells me it has set up a special interim log in page for these accounts, I move on and have to enter all passwords again.
I am fairly certain this is a glitch and not a scam. I will contact them and see what they say.0
