My first one!

Just got my first Parking Charge Notice from Euro Car Park, from reading all the various useful thread I understand all I have to do is ignore this and any other further communications.

I parked in a retail car park, where only two shops still exist and the car park is at the side of the building. Everyone parks here and goes off to works.

One one side of the car park against the side of the shops are about 4 notices, there are no notices on the opposing side, as far as I know there are none as you enter the car park.

Should I take photos, just in case?

Should I just ignore all correspondence?

Finally they have missed a letter out of the name of the centre, does this invalidate it anyway?

Thanks

  • Hi.
I have an unmarked pristine condition ticket also from Euro Car Park. I also have a couple of reminders and a final statement from them.

Then I was sent a couple of letters from "control account plc" (The printer of their letterheads had run out of CAPITALS) and a copy of the original ticket.

Next was 4 or 5 phone calls from them with regard to an outstanding account. I finally told them that this was harassment and I just hung up.

    Not heard anything since.

I would read up on some of the advise given out on this forum and just ignore.
Yes - take some photos. It will will complete your folder and give you something to look back on in your retirement.

    Good luck.

Just received a letter from control account plc, which I am sure is familiar to some of you stating they have firm instruction to start legal proceedings etc etc.

I guess I just ignore this one as well?

Indeed. It's been 3 months, any company whom thinks you owe them money would have started court proceedings by now and not even get a 3rd party involved.

Yep, I have the whole letter chain (only 2 or 3 letters) from Control Account from a fake PCN I ignored from ECP about 5 years ago now.

They aren't very imaginative to still be using the same debt collector threatograms after all these years, and ECP never do Court, they're easy to ignore! It's such an old letter chain that there used to be a link to it in the 'PPC letter chains' sticky thread but the link has died as it's so old!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
