  • Do I raise the complaint to ofgem? Doesn't seem to be a lot of point complaining to Spark anymore.

You can only take the complaint higher if you have raised a formal complaint with the supplier and this is not resolved in 8 weeks.

  • there are very few actually valid objections to a transfer :
1.debt..supplier will not let you leave if a balance is above £100
2.contract...supplier will not allow you to leave if the supply has been applied for earlier than 28days before the end of a contractural period
3..the meter being appled for is not correct
4..your supplier stated they needed a certain notice period upon canx and this hasnt been received...

Lastly, certain suiers ignore all of the above and object to slow the process down, although this is not within regulation it does go on...for data protection the current supplier will never tell the proposed supplier why they are objecting to their request so you need to call and be prepared to be very firm with them....they will think you know nothing but ask why they are objecting and if its not a valid reason DEMAND for the objection to be lifted!!!

    hope this helps
