Grrrr.....2 o clock in the morning and can't sleep, for the third night. Tempted to go downstairs and play spreadsheets, but i know I'll be foul tomorrow.
£1.70 spent today on a baguette. Feeling really unmotivated to do anything at the moment....even spent the day not being able to see as I couldn't be bothered to take my glasses to the optician and get them fixed- a 5 minute job:o
Day 1 of the 5:2 went really well, loads of energy and wasn't too hard thanks to my hot and sour soup. 2 lbs lost ( okay it's only water, but makes me feel better:)) day 2 tomorrow, which I'm perversely looking forward to.
Off to google 'tingling feet' as they are driving me mad...anyone else suffer from this at night?0 -
Can't believe it's snowing again, I'm all geared up for the spring now. Another hibernation / NSD day planned.
My account is £34 over budget already this month:mad:which I need to claw back from my jars in the next 2 weeks. Landline phone bill was double...moving to pr@mus saver was not a good thing. I can't face another 3 weeks with no broadband, which happens each time I switch.
The rest was on kindle books....pretty much exhausted the freebies:(
Fast day today. ive Worked out my hot and sour is 50 calories a bowl, although if I knock out the sesame oil, only 25 calories. Buzzing and full of energy, despite little sleep.0 -
Fast day no. 3 today, smoked salmon and salad for lunch and a big pot of hot and sour soup to dip into as and when. 4lbs lost since Sunday:D I realise that's mostly water, but tbh, I don't care, I can get into my jeans again:T
Done a couple of food top ups, not really sure how the jars are fairing...10 days til payday.0 -
I've done a little financial jiggling today. Closed a savings account down and put the £300 against my overdraft. It brings my mortgage over payments start date to April. Computer protection paid for out of yearly spends savings and a quick tally of the jars, leaves me £100 for the next 9 days. Pork in the slow cooker, lots of chocolate in my tummy....I'm FREEZING!0

:(Lots of spending over the weekend. Child free yesterday afternoon, so OH and I went out for lunch and a wonder around the shops.... £5.60 to park for 2 hours:eek:
Came home £50 lighter, but had a lovely afternoon. Babysitter took children out, another £15 spent.
I have £6 left In my jars til pay day on Sunday:D good job there's only a little bit of feb left after that, so I can claw it back hopefully.
freezing again, headache and huddled in blanket with heating on full. Think I may be coming down with something.
Lots ticked off of 'to do' list.
Oops, also remembered I bought 3 x '8 compartment nibble trays with lids' (mmm storage:T) for food at DS party from the bay....another £15 to knock off next week's spends.0 -
I've cheated, filled my jars early...should have waited until payday on the 17th, hopefully the short month will even things out.
Decided I'm going to start overpayments on the mortgage next month. Bit of a self indulgent spend day today, Booked a girly spa session for next week and bought lots of lovely smelly candles from Ike@.
The milk bill has crept up from £20pm to £30:eek:need to cut back on the eggs and keep an eye on it. It's nearly 6pm and DD is still not home from school due to the snow....getting a bit worried about her:(0 -
£110 in the jars to last 11 days. not very feasible as its half term, so need to think in terms of damage limitation. used the coin machine in the supermarket to get rid of the penny jar, £6 off the shopping:) tip run this afternoon and a trip to the playground. Going to the theatre tomorrow, which is already paid for, so only the bus fare to find.
The service contract on a piece of DD's essential equipment needs renewing, they are asking £1400 for a 5 year service contract:eek::eek: I'm really hoping the equipment belongs to the OT service and that they are responsible, as we can't pay it:(0 -
An MSE day today. £2.50 at the museum, castle and park with friends....lovely, despite being a little chilly. Signed up with topc@shback and quidc@, looks a little complicated though!
4 more days of entertainment for the children to plan, £70 left in the jars, 8 days til payday.0 -
The good news is that the shower table belongs to the OT service, so they're picking up the extortionate service contract..yay! On the not so good front, we've all had this blasted flu thing over the half term leaving the jars empty and money wasted just for an easy ride.....DVDs and ready meals...hangs head in shame. 3 days til payday.
I'm currently trialling a reading programme on the computer, it seems to meet DD's access needs and the traditional school programmes don't allow for her being non-verbal, so it's going to cost £15 pm.....money well spent if it means she makes progress. Decided to look into homeschooling software more closely, although i wouldn't take her out of school as she needs the social interaction, and I need the break!0 -
Don't beat yourself up, Octobergirl. DVDs and ready meals are life-savers when the whole family are ill. Spending half term having flu sounds pants, but good news about the shower table.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49
