A wonderful weekend doing the Slateman Tri in Wales . OH and I also enjoyed a great day exploring Conwy and Caenarfon......my new favourite places.
Boy child is moving schools after half term, he gets a taster session tomorrow, which I think I'm more excited than him about. He's been unhappy for a long time, so fingers crossed it's the right decision for him.
I've increased the SO into my ISA to £100, still waiting to find out how much I need to repay tax credits, got £1k saved so far (expecting it to be £2.5k).0 -
:THalf Term Holiday
Due to joining various memberships, I halved my holiday budget to £25 for the week. Kept to this but also spent £35 on fish and chips and McD's. Lots of swimming and theme park days out. both memberships have proven to be worthwhile.
Boy child has changed schools and is having a big wobble. Hoping he settles quickly.0 -
Week 5 at the gym, I've managed to gain 3lbs  but can now run 4k, in 29 mins:)
Boy child has had a great first week at his new school and seems so much happier - big sigh of relief.
Waiting for my tax credit updates to see where we stand financially.0 -
Finally got tax credits updated. Delighted, as no massive repayments to make, which means we now have 1.5k to put into the emergency fund ( or potentially pay off mortgage a month earlier).
Been a horrible stressy 2 weeks, which has cost me dearly in terms of emotional eating and financially. All over now, so need to get back on track with weekly spending pots and the gym.0 -
I've done some tweaking of budget forecasts, and now aim to be mortgage free Sept 2019.

The £1.4 k is burning a hole in my pocket......have been holiday hunting for next Easter, going to book directly with hotel, keeping an eye on the Euro.
Never had surplus in my account before as always slightly in o/d to keep me on the straight and narrow ( even with savings) I figure paying a few pounds interest on o/d still outweighs my potential 'blow it'0 -
Tax credits fell twice this month:T counteracts the two spendy weekends we've just had.
Mortgage day today, with money left over in the account, which is a first. Not comfortable having surplus money, so paid for a couple of weekend breaks for 2016 (next years budget altered). Also paid for hotel for next years big holiday.
Got a fab deal for soft play centre, unlimited play over summer hols for £10:T0 -
bit of a conundrum.....had confirmation of hotel room booked for our holiday next year, but money hasn't been taken from my account. E-mailed to check room is booked, reply saying it has been paid for.....
Got a horrible feeling we'll end up in Lanzarote with no where to stay:eek:
Changed playroom to my study/quiet room. Not spent money on the house for years, so feeling very lavish, with new blinds, paint, rugs, cushions etc. Money still burning a hole in my accountGot lots done today but both kids now off with the lurgy for the rest of the week.
