sole trader and bad weather

Can a sole trader in this case a bricklayer claim any benefits due to bad weather and unable to work . Sat at home no money coming in if no benefits available what do you do ?

Well if that's the nature of the business then you need to allow for it during periods of work. Save money or up your rates so that you can save money to cover the lean periods.0

My hubby is also self employed and not easy. Bit of money you try to save goes straight back out due to high increase of food/gas/electric and 3 little months to feed

The rates have been cut and its a struggle to be constantly in work no one will take you on the books any more . After 30 years is a change of job required .0
