Egg Money - problem viewing statements

I am unable to view my April statement online. I have e-mailed them to ask why and after an attempt to tell me it was my fault and to change my internet settings, they have now told me they will be sending me a paper statement, at NO CHARGE, like they're doing me a favour!

Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm able to log on, view current month's and the statement dated 18th April, both on Internet Explorere and Firefox (though I did get an error on FF because I was accessing the account from both at the same time :/ )

I did last month. They acknowledged that they had problems with some accounts. They copied a log of all the transactions in the email reply.

I've had this problem for 2 years now, they closed my account without telling me and they cannot put statements online for closed accounts. Wont send me a paper one either so I have as I am well within my rights to do refused to pay it. Sent numerous messages/emails/phone calls and no one there seems to want to take ownership for the problem so next stop is OFT

If it's a closed card they should send out paper copies free of charge. As long as your payments are up to date it will be dealt with by the regular customer services, they should be able to order the statements for you easy enough.

If there's any problems and it's the 'borrowing' team you deal with - they might not know about the statements being sent for free as its not something they would normally deal with.

I'm not implying anything here and could well imagine as you've had problems you're not too happy... but when you phone in / send a message then just be really polite and explain you need to check the balance etc and would like to see the statements.

If they say there's a charge, politely remind them the card is closed and as their system applies charge to the card they can't if it's closed... hence the reason why they are sent for free. The correct process is it should be for free (only when card is closed - as they cant be seen online), if they don't do this and their call/msg is monitored then they will be marked down for it.
