Looking for a new car at the moment, don't want finance, however dealers seem keen to push zero percent finance deals at, quote "no benefit to us" Anyways, quite fancied a Vauxhall Mokka so I do some research, and here's the nasty little sting, Mokka exclusive 1.4T 4x4 £20k, Mokka Techline 1.4T 4x4 £18k, the Techline is exactly the same spec as the Exclusive just with added satnav, now Vauxhall offer 0% finance on the Exclusive but not the Techline, I tried this comparison on the Astra and Insignia and in both cases the Techline was cheaper, I could not do a direct comparison on the Insignia but the 1.8VVT petrol Exclusive was a couple of hundred quid dearer than the 2.0 CDTi Techline, a higher spec diesel car cheaper than a petrol car, go figure that one. Vauxhall dealer explanation is that the Techline models are aimed at business users so they don't offer 0% finance, however it does mean that they are loading the price of the cars they do offer 0% finance on.
Anyways, after being told it's a 6 month waiting list for a Mokka I'm looking at either ix35, Kia Sportage or Nissan Qashqai, all of these I should be able to get a better deal on as there will be some less that year old second hand examples available.

I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world

Ye newsflash huh.
Been going on for years in most industries offering 0% credit. In fact most prices are loaded before putting special promotions in place0 -

https://www.broadspeed.com are offering at least £2,500 off Exclusives.
They simply point you to the UK dealer who will do the deal at that price.0
