British Gas boiler repair guarantee

Hi all,

Our boiler packed up this time last year with British Gas being called out for an emergency repair. £400 later it was fixed with a 1year guarantee. We are now a week out of the guarantee and its packed up again. Where do we stand if it's their parts that are faulty? We have a Glow Worm 30 cxi, about 8 years old. Any advice on who to go to now?

    You can plead your case, but contractually it's out of warranty.
    Go to a local independent GSR RGI who knows your boiler.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Nowhere.

    What makes you think this problem is related to the previous one?

    As an aside,isnt it appalling that an 8 year old boiler needed four hundred notes throwing at it and yet 1 year downline,its stuffed again? I wonder what the original issue was? was it attributed to poor install/design?
    Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
