Buy to Let

Hi is it possible to change my current mortgage to a buy to let one, as I wish to move in with my sister and rent my house out.

    Yes of course.All you need do is pay off your existing mortgag and hen apply for a new, Buy To Let mortgage.

    Provided you meet the criteria for a BTL ortgage there will be no problem.

    An easir solution may be to ask your existing mortgage lender for Consent To Let.

    Majority of buy to let lenders require a borrower to also own a residential property.

    Consent to let may be granted but this is only ever a short term arrangement. Normally 3 years maximum.
