New Desktop PC Brand?

Old 9 yr old PC has died needs new motherboard payed around £1000 that long ago for a P4 2.6.
Need a new reliable desktop PC, Happy to pay the right price for future proofing-PC will be used for general purpose music play and storage & some games.
Looked at Mesh, Cyber Power (everything seems extra), Currys for an HP or ASUS system, Amazon, PC Specialist. Need new larger screen around 24in too.
Any suggestions of what to stay clear of & what brand is the best?
Budget £800 to £1200.
Also looking at BOSE Companion 3 Multi Media speakers-Sounded great in shop.

Sounds too complicated. PC World are doing a Lenovo and an Asus around £850 for I7 16gb ram 3tb hd blu ray and 3gb Nvidia Geforce GTX 640 2gb graphics card. seems a better spec and price than other sites.
What are Mesh like?
