So they stole from you (allegedly), and you were quite willing to welcome them back into your home? How very odd.
But back to your question, you cannot force them to carry out work, but you may well be entitled to be put back into the same position as you were at the start. This could mean paying to get your loft re-boarded then suing the company for the costs. Whether you are successful is another matter.
