    Literally copy the entire contents of the disc to a clean, formatted USB stick (ensuring the USB stick has enough space).

    Then plug the USB stick in his computer, open it, find the setup.exe file and double-click it to start.

    Office 2010 is a very good product.

    As noted, if you have a network (and who doesn't these days), you can share the disc off one computer to read on another.

    Also as noted, the licence will state the number of installs - I think the home & student ones gave 2.
