Yorvik Centre, York - Any Discount Codes/coupons Pls?

Sorry if this isn't the right place, but am trying to find out if there are any Yorvik Centre tickets/coupons about please?

Going in May - 2 adults, a 5 year old and a 2 year old - are kids free?

Any other suggestions with the little ones please? Know the Railway Museum's free as is a walk on the walls, look round the shops(!). Any coupons for a river trip maybe out there too please?!

Thanks in advance

    Hi,

sorry I haven't got an answer for you, I'll move it over to the Days out board in the hope you get a reply there.

  • The best place for discount vouchers for Yorvik is to pick up a leaflet/brochure detailing York's attractions when you arrive.

Scout through the leaflet racks at the railway station / tourist info and you'll probably be able to find 10% discount.

    hope that helps.

I remember taking my 3 year son to Jorvik and he hated it, really scared by the darkness and the strange smells. You might want to consider taking just the five year old in with one adult. That said you can use Tesco clubcard vouchers there.

The National Railway Museum is excellent and so is the Castle museum.

We went last year. Two adults and a 6yo. HUGE let-down. You're carried round a buggy for ten minutes and then let out in the shop. I wouldn't bother again. The Railway Museum was ace though...

The queues are desperate for this place, even In February there was a huge line. We only went the once when our gang were little and we can still remember the smell of the place.

I think English Heritage members get discounted membership. Also its included amongst the Tesco Clubcard deals. There is also a card you can buy in York, quite expensive but it gives you entry to everything. Ring the Tourist Info to check, I think its also mentioned on the website.

Railway Museum is every ones favourite but it also gets busy. They often run themed weeks so check their website. Some park and ride buses drop you outside so check which car park you need to be on or its a long walk.

The open top bus is another idea for small ones that cant do loads of walking.

Yep, I'll second that one, save yourself the whole price of the tickets and don't bother. The ride is over and done with so quickly it is a total waste of money IMHO.
