Hi - I would be grateful for any help again please.
We have just bought a Panasonic TV which should receive Wireless - but it is in a different room from my Plusnet router and says there is no signal. When I am in the new tv room I also struggle with my laptop and phone wireless reception.
What can I do to boost reception - do I have to have my phone line/router moved?
Many thanks

Before spending any money I'd check to see if the channel has high interference0

Or utilise your current electrical wiring.
Wifi powerline plugs. Buy pair of plugs, 1 goes next to your router and connected via ethernet cable, other plug which would have wifi ability, plugs into the room with tv and laptop. Then you have a wireless hot spot within the room.
This link shows you what i am referring to, plenty of other makes on the market, but TP Link are one of the best.

If you have a spare wireless router, you can run a cable between rooms and set the spare router up as a repeater. Cheap solution if you have a spare one.0

You may also wish to check whether your router has an external aerial plug socket which would allow you attach an aerial and boost the range somewhat.0

Thank you for all your suggestions (almost all of which I understand....)
Having read the reviews on line I have decided to go for the TP Link TL-WPA281KIT AV200 Powerline Extender with Wireless N Access Point Starter Kit - although I am a bit woried about managing the set up as some people seem to have problems - I will come back and let you know :-)Downshifted
