Windows 8 Idiot's guide (free??)

Just got a new Dell laptop for my sister, OAP, she's never owned a computer before, and I'm setting it up for her.

Is there anywhere online a (free) "idiots guide" (for me, I'm the idiot) to Windows 8?? I'm an habitual Linux user, very rarely user Windows & such things as how-do-I-uninstall-McAfee and if-I-need-to-recover-system-from-hidden-partition I would like to know....

Can't say I like that "Start" blocky-app-list-thingy ....
