Distance Selling: No refund after MANY assurances it has been issued

Hi,
At my wits end here with online gift company I Want One Of Those (IWOOT). It is a VERY long story so I'm cutting it right down to basics; if more info is needed, please ask.
They didn't deliver my items in time for xmas post to Afghan so I was told to re-order and choose next day delivery (which took 2 days!) and that they would refund me when I sent the extra items back. One never arrived, but they told me they had issued a refund for that item on 11th Dec. The other one was posted on 14th Dec but they didn't receive it (I sent them proof of postage). I have had EXTENSIVE conversations with them via Facebook so I have a log of the awful customer service. They assured me countless times that I had been issued a full refund (ALL erroneously). They avoided answering my questions regarding the whereabouts of the refunds in their replies several times.
I have now had enough and upon looking at the DSRs I see that I should have been refunded within 30 days, meaning they are in breach. What is my next step please? I have no idea how to proceed. I gave them notice last week that if the money wasn't with me by today I would be taking the matter further.
Thanks in anticipation

Send a letter before action (google it), then sue (assuming the company is UK-based)One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

Thank you

I imagine it'll be through the small claims court since the amount is only £25 lol. It's the principle though. It is a UK based company, as far as I know...0
