London Break

Options
Hi

Im hoping some one is able to help. Me and my partner are wanting to travel to london for a theatre break. We could go any Saturday in feb and would like to stay for just one night, any show would do just something to watch and enjoy. We would be traveling from Hull, hopefully by train. Is it best or possible to book as a package? Dont know where to start, just seen a few breaks with national holidays. Thanks

Which station will you arrive at? Euston? King's Cross?

My preference is for a hotel near the arrival and/or departure point, so I can tumble out of the train straight into the hotel, and tumble out of the hotel, straight onto the train.

The tube makes it easy to get from KX to theatreland, most shows finish in good time, long before the tube stops running, etc

Some idea of how much you want to spend might help...
  • Hi, I have booked to go to London in a few weeks. We come down from Yorkshire to London Kings cross. We are staying at the Grange which is situated near tower hill tube. So the tube ride isn't far away.
I had planned on going to the theatre on the friday. I might be tempted to go watch "we will rock you", and that means going to Tottenham court Road. Around 20 mins away from the hotel.

If you book with plenty of weeks in advance, then the train fares are really cheap.

I would get my tickets for a show on the day with tkts (store in the middle of leicester square, and also now online I think and possibly stands in Westfield Stratford and Canary Wharf- there were at Xmas time). They are the cheapest place I know for show tickets.
PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.
Now to start saving...it's a whole new world!!
