Yes Poland uses paypal but there is a strange anomaly in that they can't accept it. I had a Polish buyer a couple of years back, item never arrived (apparently post into Poland can be a nightmare) and there was no way at all I could refund. Ended up taking advice on here from people with Polish connections and agreed with the buyer to make a donation to charity instead.
They don't have confirmed addresses, and many of the trackable overseas postal methods are not available either.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Sorry to be a numpty but can you tell me what BIC + IBAN is, so I know what to do ? Thanks.
They're international banking codes, your bank can tell you what they are.
I'm a bit geographically dense, so I'm not 100% sure if Poland has the euro, but if they do, make sure any payment is made in EUROs and that the buyer selects SHARED CHARGES.
This should mean no charge at all for you, just a few pennies for the exchange.
Confusing, I know.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Me thinks the great Norma's painting hunt is about to start again.0

They can def pay with paypal, not sure about whether they can have a confirmed address though.
I sold one item to Poland last year and it was paid for by Paypal and there were no probslems with delivery or anything. Apparently addresses can only be confirmed within UK, USA or Canada. I have just sent two collectable items to France, paid by Paypal and there was no problem. Even arrived quicker than some post within the UK! Check feedback and use you judgment.0 -
Seriously though. cos the guy's in for it.... he's e-mailed again asking if I'll accept paypal. How do I change the listing to accept paypal now ? And do I need to do anything to my paypal account to let it accept receipts in ? In the past I've only ever used it to pay money out. Thanks.0

Ok I've upgraded my paypal account to premier so it'll accept receipts in. Anyone know how to change the listing thing, plus how do I get the postage cost onto paypal if this guy buys ?0

Anyone ? Sorry to bump this.0

Go into your listing and at the top right should be the option of revise your listing click on this and see if it will allow you to add paypal as a payment option. For the postage go into revise listing click on edit postage and add an option for overseas postage to Poland/europe and put in the amount you have agreed for postage.0
